Alexey Trushechkin was born in Moscow in 1990 in a family of musicians. He studied at the Moscow Shopen College with E.Kaminskaya and later graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory under the tutelage of M. Filippov. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Music program at the Columbus State University Schwob School of Music (Columbus, GA), studying with Professor Henry Kramer.
His achievements include the San Jose International Piano Competition (First Prize, Audience Prize, & Best Performance of Russian Music, 2019; Best Performance of a Chopin Etude, 2017), the Edvard Grieg International Piano Competition (Third Prize & Orchestra Prize, 2018), the Los Angeles International Piano Competition (Second Prize, 2018), the Skriabin International Piano Competition (First Prize 2012), Paris, France, and the Parnassos International Competition (Third Prize 2012), Monterrey, Mexico. He also won the Concerto Competition for Columbus State University (2016), and was chosen as the 2016 winner of the Atlanta Music Club.
As a pianist he has performed in such venues as Tchaikoivsky Concert Hall in Moscow, and the Great and Small Halls of Moscow State Conservatory. He has appeared as concerto soloist with multiple orchestras and conductors, including: K. Orbelyan, V.Rizhaev (Russia), F. Krager (Mexico), P. Hostetter (USA). Trushechkin has given recitals in the Russia, USA, Germany, Ukraine, France, Belgium, Spain, Austria, and Mexico.
