In 1980, Evelyn Miller, pianist, devoted teacher, and visionary, realized her dream to establish a concert series for young (under 35) international artists – the YOUNG PIANIST SERIES. Since its beginning, more than 110 concert pianists from all over the world have performed on this unique series.

Concert Venue
YPS concerts are held at the Sandra G. Powell Recital Hall (in the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center on the University of Tennessee campus).

Parking is generally available free of charge in Parking Lot #23, located adjacent to the rear of the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center. On special occasions, there may be a parking attendant at the entrance of the lot, requiring the purchase of a special permit parking fee for the lot. The G 16 garage across the street from the Haslam Music Center is also usually available (if no sports events). Parking is also available on the streets surrounding the Music Center.
